8. 339 Broadway, application for a beer and wine license for TBD – Resolution That’s the old Variety Café space. Dare one hope for something interesting on Broadway?
9. 61 Broadway, application for a beer and wine license for TBD – Resolution Either this is misfiled (should be in FiDi) or it’s 261 Broadway, where there’s an empty storefront (although wouldn’t that be Civic Center?).

11. 114 Franklin Street, application for a liquor license for TBD – Resolution For Hamptons export Tutto Il Giorno.
12. 349 Greenwich Street, application for a liquor license for TBD – Resolution This is the most intriguing item on the agenda. 349 Greenwich is Dean’s Pizzeria, and it wouldn’t surprise me if the space was turning over. But this could actually be for a renewal, or the address could be a typo. (I called Dean’s and freaked the woman out who answered the phone.) I’ve emailed CB1 for clarification. UPDATE: CB1 confirms that the application is for a new license, although it was pointed out that it could be a change in ownership.
13. Codification of committee standards for licenses – Discussion continued

4. Pier 17, South Street Seaport, application for a liquor license for an entity in which Jason Hicks and Yves Jadot are principals – Resolution Maybe the Seaport is going to get cooler after all. Hicks and Jadot are the guys behind Jones Wood Foundry. The word “entity” is strange; does that mean it’s much more of a bar than a restaurant (and they just don’t want to say it)?

  1. Actually there are going to be Pride Weekend events on Pier 26 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons + evenings (6/28-30) for the 1st time ever.

  2. Deans is always, always empty, even on a Sat night. I’ve often wondered how long this could go on… too bad, my kids like the pizza.

  3. @N: If I were a business around here (well, a different kind of one), I’d think about flying a rainbow flag on those days.

  4. Great point Erik!
