••• The Butterfly is now serving lunch, with a menu that’s different from the one at dinner. Plus: You can order takeout for both meals. (The “Ice Cold Milk” on the right makes me think the restaurant should serve it out of one of those machines that “family restaurants” used to use—it alwasy had a distinct frothiness.) Lunch is weekdays only for now; brunch will follow soon.

••• Lovely, the bridal salon on Duane (in the old Lucca Antiques space), opened a few weeks ago. I’m still hoping they’ll agree to a New Kid on the Block post.

••• Every time I walk by 56 Reade, I think about how there’s a great restaurant opportunity there: It’s vented, with no upstairs neighbors to complain about noise, in a part of town that’s short on restaurants but with a lot more residents on the way. Come on, let’s have something good!
