Another Vendor Is Leaving All Good Things

A hot tip popped up in the comments this morning: “I heard Dickson’s Farmstand Meats is leaving All Good Things :( ” wrote Brett. I called Jake Dickson, who confirmed it. He said they’re leaving on good terms and that that he’ll know more later today as to exactly when (but most likely in the next month or two). We didn’t have a great connection, so I’m not positive about this, but it sounded like All Good Things is taking over the meat counter—the way it has with the bread and will soon with the coffee.

Those of us who value humanely raised meat will have to head up to Chelsea Market, where the original Dickson’s outpost will remain open.

P.S. Thanks for the tip, Brett.

  1. Well this is terrible. All Good Things, and in particular Dickson’s, is (was?) my favorite addition to the neighborhood in some time.

  2. Dicksons was the one reason I still went to AGT. Their staff was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and friendly. I will definitely be going up to their Chelsea location when i need to have the best meats and service available in NYC.

If their “replacement” is as lacking as All Good Bread is to Orwashers i may never be back to AGT.

  3. Yeah, this puts the kibosh on AGT for me. I don’t think I’ll have any reason at all to go there.

  4. Yes I agree.
It was the one vendor I went in for. Loved the staff and loved the meat.
Plus the only people who genuinely have a smile on their face.
    Very sad to hear this.
No reason to go back at all now :-(

  5. Oh, that is such sad news.

  6. Hey wait before you head uptown the meats I hear will be just as good if not better. I don’t know why so many negative comments, the bread and pasties that replaced Orwashers are superior so don’t write them off,
    .

  7. I have bought coffee meat and the best bread from the original vendors at
all good things. they all left. As time went on I spoke to the workers in each dept.about why they all are leaving.. No business the owner would not put up any advertising on his building and he is the most terrible guy to work for.

the place will never recover with this guy running the place .what a joke to let this thing go out like that. His parents money doesn’t mean anything to him.

sour grapes to little too late .I have my truck and I will travel to buy those foods again.

  8. That’s really too bad. The coffee + meat for dinner (and maybe a sandwich or some jerky) combination at AGT really did it for me. Apart from that, I’ve wanted a really good butcher in Tribeca for some time now, and Dicksons is my favorite.

  9. New butcher sucks! And ripped me off (only noticed when I got home that they pulled a bait and switch). If they think this is how to make friends in the neighborhood they are going about it all wrong…

  10. I went to AGT this weekend to try and give it another shot. What a mistake. It just made me depressed.
