Seen & Heard: Wellness Fair

••• From Torly Kid: “Bring your old picture and chapter books to swap your old books for a ‘new’ adventure. We’ll even give you a coupon for 10% off your next purchase in-store or online. Excess books are donated to a local school in need at the end of the month.”

••• The second-annual P.S. 89 Wellness Fair is Saturday, Mar. 22, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.: “Register your child (and yourself) for a cooking class and learn how to make Asian summer rolls, roll-up sandwiches and pomegranate parfait and/or sign up for the popular sushi-making class. Then you can join a Zumba dance aerobics class with or without your child. Finally don’t forget to sample products from vendors including Lola Granola and Blueprint Cleanses. All products and games are free, but we ask for a $5 contribution per person (maximum $20 per family) to sign up for as many classes as you wish.”

••• Opening March at Hal Bromm Gallery: “Snow,” a group show about you-know-what. It’s up through April 30.
