Seen & Heard: Starbucks Opens Tomorrow

••• After visiting Governors Island, I wandered over to check in on the SeaGlass carousel. Pretty building! (Opening is early fall at best.)

••• La Colombe patrons who need a bathroom are in luck: The new Starbucks at 32 Sixth Ave.—at the northeast corner of Walker—opens tomorrow.

••• From Alycea Ungaro’s Real Pilates: “We have a Pilates teacher training program now. Teachers undergo over 600 hours of training with several exams along the way. After successfully completing the beginner level test, apprentices are available to the community at a reduced rate. We currently have four trainees who offer private training sessions at $25 to $35 (depending on their level of completion). In addition, we have four group classes a week priced at $5 with these apprentices.”

••• Adam and I watched Cutie and the Boxer the other night—that’s the documentary about an artist couple that got good reviews last year. I had no idea that the Boxer (Ushio Shinohara) showed at Ethan Cohen Fine Arts when it was on Jay.

••• The World Trade Center has more quills—including ones on each end.
