Seen & Heard: Brookfield Place Ice Rink Opens Today

Front Street••• I was on Front Street yesterday—for the first time in a while—when I looked up and saw that building with the zig-zag design on it. Has it always been there? It really dominates. UPDATE: Luis has the answer in the comments. There’s hope it’ll be blocked at some point.

  1. The Zig Zag is part of the design for the Fairfield Residence Inn about to open on the corner of Fletcher and Front Streets. The hotel backs up onto the site for the future development at 80 South Street and does not have the air rights on those two sides, so rather than just having two huge blank walls they put the zig zag design on it.
