D. pointed out that there’s a “retail space available” sign in the window of Soho Garden, the deli at 307 W. Broadway (just north of Canal). A worker in the deli said the sign was for an upstairs space—that doesn’t work, folks—so I called the broker, who verified that the ground floor and basement are available. But maybe not for long; she said they’re close to an agreement with a tenant.
For what little it’s worth, that sign has been in that window for a very long time, potentially a year or more. Obviously the conversation with the broker provides additional color, but the sign itself isn’t new
A Just Salad or anything remotely like it would kill in that spot. I was amazed the place lasted as long as it did, I could only imagine what the rent was like.
