Seen & Heard: New Skyscraper Museum Exhibit

••• Thanks to Wickham Boyle for sending over this touching photo of flowers placed near where the window washer died.

••• Cool photo of “Installing skylight platforms at WTC Transportation Hub Oculus” (from @WTCProgress).

Installing skylight platforms at WTC Transportation Hub Oculus••• Added to the agenda of Community Board 1’s Tribeca Committee: “Friends of Duane Park, street activity permit application for Duane Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets, Wednesday, June 10, 2015, 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.” Presumably for the annual swing dance party.

••• Added to the Landmarks Committee agenda: “28 Liberty Street (formerly One Chase Manhattan Plaza,) application for alterations to plaza and storefronts including creation of new entrances at sidewalk and plaza levels.” Hmm. Also, has a new tenant at 7 Harrison already decided to make some changes? Because this is on the agenda, too: “7 Harrison Street, application for enlargement of back dormer.”

••• A new exhibit has opened at the Skyscraper Museum: “Ten Tops surveys the following category: all buildings in the world today, completed or under construction, that are 100 stories and taller. Of these 24 towers, the exhibition focuses on ten (plus a few more), zooming in on their uppermost floors to see how they were designed and constructed and what happens atop the world’s tallest buildings.”
