In the News: The Sinuous Synagogue

synagogue-for-the-arts04-by-tribeca-citizen••• The New York Times takes a long look at the history of Tribeca Synagogue’s curvy building, and its cantankerous architect, William Breger. The use of “G-d” in the lede made me cringe, and I’d love to see the paper’s ombuds(wo?)man explain it. The photo above is from a 2010 visit I made to the building.

  1. I hope the buyer at 73 Worth knows that he has 5 years of street construction (until 10 p.m. 7 days) ahead of him/her.

    • Well, the five years covers the whole project, and Worth goes all the way to Chatham Square…. So Church and Worth is probably looking at a year to a year and a half.
