The New York–area chain Pookie & Sebastian has opened its sixth location, in the former Adeline Adeline space on Reade. Everything in the store—apparel, jewelry, candles, a few pieces of home decor—is Pookie & Sebastian brand. “We started uptown,” says Alex, the manager, “for the uptown girl who wants that downtown feeling. The owners love white and cream—boho chic. It’s for the woman who wants to look good and be comfortable.” And who also doesn’t want to spend a lot of money: Prices start at $25 and top out in winter at $300 for a fur vest.
