••• Añejo has intriguing plans for its downstairs den: Abajo (which means “down”) opens May 8 offering small bites that are “a fusion of Mexican and NYC street food concepts and flavors” and a beverage program “focused around a library of agave-based distillates.” The party will get started a bit later.
••• Nicholas Holiber installs his “Head of Goliath” sculpture at Tribeca Park happens today. (The rendering: is below.) A group called [Silence is Accurate] is hosting a free talk with Holiber on May 28 in Soho: “Nicolas will be discussing his eight-foot-long Head of Goliath installation on view in Tribeca Park, May through September 2015. Likewise, Head of Goliath will be a connection to the past and serve as a symbol of that spirit,’ remarks Holiber.”

If you know, please spill it.
••• I enjoyed the horchata soft-serve ice cream at El Vez Burrito; should’ve gotten the salted corn flakes on top, though. Here’s hoping the burrito bar opens on weekends soon.
