••• “An investment banker jumped to his death from the window of his million-dollar apartment in the Financial District on Thursday.” What is it with the New York Post‘s creepy insistence on adding the apartment values in sad stories like this? (It was 1 West.) The article is appallingly vivid, but perhaps you’ll enjoy it the way these folks did: “The gruesome aftermath sent tourists on an open-air bus that was stuck in traffic scrambling for their cellphones to snap pictures of the body.”

••• “The guy who just sold the ‘2,135 sq ft’ penthouse loft #5 at 249 Church Street may have worried when he paid 11% over the ask to buy it in what must have been an exciting bidding war. He needn’t have been concerned about having stretched past The Market to buy, as we found out when he sold it after four months for another 9% above what he paid.” —Manhattan Loft Guy

••• “The water spouts at the Imagination Playground won’t be turned on until mid-June.” —DNAinfo
