Papyrus Is Opening a Tribeca Store

From the Commercial Observer: “San Francisco Bay Area-based Papyrus is gaining a presence in Tribeca, […] with its 19th lease in New York City. The company, which sells greeting cards, stationery, personalized invitations and gift wrap, has signed a 1,000-square-foot lease at 149 Reade Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets.” That’s the former home of Petticoat Lane. “Papyrus hopes to open its latest store by the end of this summer.” It was a question of time, I suppose, but I was hoping it would choose Chambers and class things up there a bit. Also, there’s one in the Woolworth Building.

  1. Ugh. Not that I hate this store, but it really belongs in Brookfield place, not Reade St.

  2. I wonder if they were shown foot traffic studies made before NY Sports closed.

  3. I love these places. If you need to step off the street to make a phone call, you have them all to yourself.

  4. I agree with duane street. A lot to like about this store but …well, the times, they be a changing.
