••• Yesterday’s Seen & Heard included a still from Chantal Akerman’s 1977 film News from Home. Josh points out that News from Home is on YouTube. Watch the first five minutes to see when Staple Street had a second bridge across it and the part of Greenwich mentioned above.
••• Flyers are posted at Broadway and Reade for “Doubt,” filming Saturday. It appears to be this TV movie starring Katherine Heigl: “A successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm becomes romantically involved with a client who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.” In other words, she’s an idiot.
••• “Fall migration in is in full swing,” emails David. “These photos of a Yellow Warbler and Black-throated Blue Warbler were taken in the locust trees on Harrison.” He has also seen rare sparrows.
••• Another photo has been added to the window of 147 Duane. Is someone just messing with me?
••• Speaking of papered windows…. Something appears to be happening at 112 Hudson, two doors down from Bubby’s—that space has been vacant for as long as I’ve been doing this blog. I know someone out there knows what’s coming (tribecacitizen@gmail.com, 917-209-6473). Remember, chickies: When you’re good to mama, mama’s good to you.
••• A café called Daily Grind is opening on Nassau between John and Maiden Lane, noticed M.M. De Voe of Pen Parentis.

I love the contrast of Staple Street in 1977 representing fear and decay and the same bridge in 2015 representing casual affluence and racial harmony: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4TbOiaEHpM&t=0m8s
