TD Bank Is Closing a Branch

Robert Ripps reports that TD Bank sent out a letter informing customers that it’s closing the branch at 25 Hudson (at the corner of Duane) as of January 29, 2016. It’ll being consolidated with the one at 166 Chambers, which opened last fall. (Presumably, the bank saw a rent increase coming and/or opted for a corner with more foot traffic.)

That Hudson/Duane corner storefront is a juicy one. Maybe David Bouley is looking to achieve a trifecta….

    At one point I think Bouley was looking to put a restaurant in that location.

    that makes sense. It was odd having two such large branches so close to each other
