We knew that Il Mattone’s owner was opening a pizzeria at 49 Beach, but it was never clear that the new place would take the old name.

••• A third shoot (besides John Wick 2 and Furball) is happening in Tribeca today: “Tiara,” which is what the Marvel TV show “Luke Cage” is going by, is filming in the Broadway/Franklin area.

••• I hear that Brookfield Place is setting up six pop-up stalls—selling coffee, ice cream. flowers, and more—in the Winter Garden for the holidays. Two thoughts: 1) It sounds like All Good Things; 2) Le District can’t be thrilled.

Donate a turkey to someone in need on 11/26 from 9-10 AM at St. Paul’s Chapel (where we gather for shabbat and holidays). Bring a frozen or refrigerated turkey (15-20 lbs) for someone in Lower Manhattan.
