Seen & Heard: Accessories Pop-Up

••• The Best Made Co. catalog always involves an adventure to someplace interesting, and the new one is no exception—it was shot in Catuçaba, Brazil. And now Best Made is selling a trip based on the adventure, via Trufflepig. (Photo by Christina Holmes.)

••• The annual Tribeca Open Artist Studio Tour—a.k.a. the TOAST Artwalk—is May 13-16 this year, and artists interested in being included should apply here. Below: Charlotte Noruzi’s “Mountains run into River runs into Trees and Sky,” from the sneak peek online.

460 Washington••• “Law & Order: SVU” is back yet again in the Chambers/Broadway area for a shoot on Thursday.

The Freeman Studio••• Also on Leonard, the J. Elster Pop-Up Gallery & Store opens March 16 at 75 Leonard. From an article by Tartarus on the J. Elster website: “Films, art, and pieces from the J. Elster bag and accessories collection will make up this unique space, that will surely be as thought-provoking and unusual as her work.” The “her” in question is Jennifer Elster.

JElster Incredible belt••• As you know, PS Fabrics at 359 Broadway is closing. And you probably got this letter yesterday, too. The sale starts Thursday, and evidently you can earn prizes.

  1. As much as I love(d) P&S Fabrics all these years they did the same “closing sale” about 10-15 years ago at their original location with prizes and raffles, etc. I will miss them and their messy basement…

  2. Just found out in passing. Where am I going to get my odd and end sewing things now w/out having to shlepp up to the Garment District (which is also changing fast)?
