Birth of a Mall

The Westfield World Trade Center mall is abloom with signage for many of the stores that’ll be opening soon-ish. First, it’s worth noting that you can now walk between the Oculus side and the 1 World Trade Center/Brookfield Place side without paying the PATH fare—you take stairs up and over the PATH station, ending up on the balcony above the Brookfield Place passageway. It’s not convenient, but it’s better than nothing.

Second, included among the signage are several stores that had yet to be announced (at least from what I can remember): Roberto Coin (jewelry), Samsonite (luggage), Ford (cars), and Kingkow (kidswear). I’m not bothering to update the master list because Westfield will release a final list one of these days.

  1. glad i saw it empty and signless in there a few times… fleeting moments.

  2. Saw signage for Dior next to Kate Spade when I was walking through the Oculus last weekend. Don’t see them on the listing on Westfield’s site either. Didn’t get a pic, unfortunately.
