Harolds Meat and Three••• The Friends of Washington Market Park summer concert series: Jonnie Hirsch Band playing rock and blues (June 9), a string quartet led by Guillaume Pirard (June 16), and Rollie Pollie Guacamole (June 23). Details.

••• Opening June 10 at hpgrp Gallery: “Here Where We Are, a show of work by alumni from the New York Foundation for the Arts Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program. Here Where We Are is an exhibition that examines the concepts of ‘place’ and ‘belonging’ from immigrant perspectives. This exhibition brings together the work of six international artists currently working in New York; Liene Bosquê (Brazil), Sophia Chizuco (Japan), Isabelle Garbani (France), Liesl Pfeer (Australia), Claudia Sohrens (Germany), and Julio Austria (Philippines). While ranging in mediums from installation, to print, to photography and paintings, all six artists share the bonds of having met in New York while creating work in keeping with their cultural heritage.”

••• Opening June 28 at Taymour Grahne Gallery: a group show of 14 artists called A Verdant Summer.

••• I knew there were a couple of outposts of Bubby’s in Tokyo, but I was still caught by surprise to see one—and sure enough, people were lined up for Sunday brunch.
