••• Gee Whiz reopens later today—it’s looking spiffy in its new, smaller incarnation.
••• Hudson River sent over three photos: a peek inside Saks Fifth Avenue at Brookfield Place; the garden wall at Liberty Park at the World Trade Center; and the eastern end of the passageway between Brookfield Place and the PATH station, which looks like it might finally be opened so you can proceed directly to the Oculus.
••• Another great historical photo from Josh Bach, this one from 2004-ish, of Hudson between Spring and Dominick.
••• There’s paperwork on the Department of Buildings website for a buildout of the four-level retail space at 140 West, a.k.a. 100 Barclay, where we once heard that Bloomingdale’s was considering an outpost. It’s for the first floor and the three floors below.
••• A rendering posted for 143 Fulton—where this funky little building used to be—has been posted on the Ann Street side of the lot. It’s going to be a hotel.

So happy Gee Whiz is reopening! It’s next door to my building. I didn’t realize how much I used it until it closed.
