This is disappointing news. Ten Thousand Things, one of the more beautiful and interesting stores to open in Tribeca in recent years, is heading out. After a reader noticed the “retail space for sale or lease” sign in the window, I stopped by to see co-owner David Rees. “I can’t really comment on our situation,” he said, “but I will say that we have loved being here in Tribeca. It’s a great neighborhood to have a shop. We made some great new customers and we hope they’ll follow us to our next location.” When I know where that is, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, Ten Thousand Things is at 7 Harrison till July 30. Stop by while you can.
