••• Another military flyover today: “Between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, September 9, four F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft will conduct a ceremonial flight over the Hudson River. The aircraft will perform the flyover over the USS Intrepid. The aircraft will then proceed to Liberty Island, the Verrazano Bridge and then return north to Stewart Field, New York. The aircraft flyover will generate loud noises.”

••• The Four Seasons hotel tweeted this on Sept. 7, which means that it’s opening on Sept. 19. In a follow-up email, the hotel said that it’s welcoming it’s first guests—so that could mean it’s not open to the public on Sept. 19.

••• Rosa Mexicano debuts weekend brunch tomorrow. It’ll be offered 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. There’s a sample menu online; much of it is what’s available at lunch and dinner, but here are the brunch-specific dishes. Plus: “Complimentary skillet cornbread for the table, topped with agave-lime butter, sautéed peppers and onions, and cilantro.”
