Seen & Heard: iPic Cinema Deal

••• Albert C. Lee took some spectacular photos of “Tribute in Light,” still lovely after all these years.

Tribute in Light by Albert C. Lee••• While scanning the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners website for today’s post about 1 Beekman, I noticed 101 Murray (now 111 Murray) among its list of projects. Here’s what might’ve been, had the developer not chosen to go with Kohn Pedersen Fox instead.

You appear to get a free birthday ticket, which could be useful if you don’t have to go on your birthday. I signed up anyway at ipicmember.com, just in case it proves useful. (Credit card info wasn’t required.)

••• 35 Walker is basically just a shell at this point.

35-walker••• La Colombe now has a tea menu. Apparently, it has long served tea—you just had to ask for it.

  1. Interesting- was so curious about all the birds last year-

“The lights have caused confusion for thousands of migrating birds, trapping them in the beams, and requiring that the lights be switched off for 20-minute periods to allow the birds to escape.[14] To ensure the lights do not affect migrating birds, the Municipal Art Society works with the New York City Audubon on the illumination”

  2. Photos of the beams of light are breathtaking. Thanks for posting!
