After much debate, the Tribute in Light will shine today. The memorial museum will open to the public on Saturday, and a filmmaker transposes images of today's streets with scenes from 2001.
A network of bird-watching volunteers are patrolling the Tribute in Light every year, watching for especially dense gatherings of birds. When that happens, the lights will switch off for 20 minutes. / 3 comments
