White Street Restaurant Won’t Become the Ainsworth

White StreetGood news for fans of White Street restaurant: “After hearing from the Tribeca community, we re-evaluated our potential partnership with the Ainsworth Group at White Street,” proprietor Dan Abrams explained in an email. “Together with the Ainsworth team, we have now decided that its best for us to forego this potential partnership. Consequently, they and we will not be appearing at the next community board meeting on October 19 [as initially indicated on the agenda]. Of course, White Street remains open for business.”

  1. I for one am opposed to sports bars (why can’t people just watch sports on TV at their homes?). So this made me happy. I would make an exception if President Obama were to share a beer with me at White Street. Would he?
