••• As if by magic, the light bulbs in the City Hall Park bike/pedestrian path have been replaced.
••• Don Thomas pointed out that the proposed addition to 308-310 Canal—the smaller of the former Pearl Paint buildings—also includes the building directly to the west: “Check out the orange netting in place. It will be a huge visible presence on Canal Street.” (The second photo shows the addition as seen from Lispenard; a construction platform blocks some of the orange.) It’s being discussed at the CB1 Landmarks Committee on Nov. 10.

I’m pretty sure that photograph shows traffic on 6th Avenue, not Hudson.
That’s 60 Hudson in the middle of the photo.
I thought the big building might be 32 6th Avenue, but now I see the old Chanterelle building with the clock tower, so of course it’s Hudson. It’s a wonderful angle on the neighborhood!
