••• After I posted the link to the Wall Street Journal’s article on fashion designer Jason Wu’s Tribeca apartment, Janet commented that it’s behind a paywall. So I went to the website of the interior designer, Andre Mellone, and sure enough, there are pix galore of Wu’s place.
••• Also on the Studio Mellone site: renderings for the Thom Browne women’s store coming to the other half of 100 Hudson. [Image removed at the firm’s request.]
••• Last but not least: Studio Mellone drawings for ‘Tribeca Building.” Anyone care to guess (or share) where this might be?
••• On December 10 at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center: The Nutcracker & Other Holiday Tales, which includes scenes from “The Nutcracker,” “Gift of the Magi,” and other favorites, with music by Larry Hochman.
••• Happy Thanksgiving!
That new building was the Provenzano parking garage on Leonard behind Starbucks on south side of the street.
You appear to be right. This rendering is warmer and nicer than the previous ones (as seen at http://newyorkyimby.com/2015/02/new-look-24-leonard-street-tribeca.html).
I actually prefer the initial rendering. Not a fan of buildings with random balconies… and awnings?
