Seen & Heard: Sleep with Tribeca

••• James: I didn’t approve your comment about the listing you found for that restaurant because those types of listings come up now and then—and just because a restaurant is testing the waters, perhaps open to selling for the right price, doesn’t mean it’s closing anytime soon (and in the meantime, posting the listing could hurt its business). P.S. Does the email address you use to comment work? If so, let me know so I can communicate with you that way.

••• Because of the Worth Street reconstruction project, the M9 bus stop “currently located at the corner of Warren St. & Greenwich St. […] should be rerouted to the next block [south side of Warren between Greenwich and W. Broadway] early next week for the first stage of construction.” Also: “Citi Bike is also scheduled to remove the bike racks located on Greenwich Street between Murray & Warren [today]. All other bicycles currently attached to other bike posts on Greenwich Street should be removed by Monday (February 27) or they will be discarded in order for construction to begin on this block. Signs will be posted tomorrow for all to be aware.” There is no plan to temporarily install the Citi Bike station somewhere else.

••• “Want to sleep with Tribeca?” emailed A. about this comforter. (Er, no.) There are phone cases, too.

••• The new storefront at 356 Broadway looks nice. The word from the owner is that it’s still available.

••• Racines NY has a new, more substantial bar menu, including this decadent-looking sandwich made with lamb shoulder.

••• Piccola Cucina, which has outposts on Prince and Spring (and Ibiza), is opening another restaurant on Thompson. Estiatorio usually refers to a Greek restaurant, so who knows what it all means.

••• And further north, Café Clover at Sixth and Downing is opening a “grocery” a few doors down from the restaurant.

  1. Understood. It was publicly available and seemed more newsworthy than the average flyer.
