Seen & Heard: Another Fulton Center Store Has Closed

••• M. M. De Voe tweeted that Freedom Wines has closed; it’s the second store in Fulton Center to do so, after the Pop Karma popcorn shop.

••• Nick Lowe is playing City Winery on June 9 and 10. I don’t think there’s a link for tickets yet because the venue first offers tickets to members of its priority program.

••• Here’s the answer to last week’s Where in Tribeca…?

••• From Notify NYC: “A flight of ten military helicopters will conduct a training exercise over New York City on March 14. The aircraft will fly over the Verrazano Bridge, the Hudson River, the Harlem River, the East River and the Statue of Liberty at an altitude of 500-1000 feet. The training exercise will occur between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 14.”

••• A good deed at Chambers Street Wines. Thanks to K. for the photo.

  1. Rents must be high there – the wine was majorly overpriced.

  2. The Fulton Center is going downhill way fast. The stench on the street-level Fulton Street side is enough to make you gag. When I walked through a few days ago there was a guy taking his pants off.
