Coffee Out, Poke In
Crave Espresso Bar, in the wedge bordered by Canal, Sixth, and Church, has closed. And according to the sign posted in the window, Poke Bowl is opening a second location in its place. That’ll make two poke restaurants within a block-and-a-half span: Humble Fish debuted at 35 Lispenard last month.

Hopefully the new business will have more respect for the premises Crave piled garbage and grease in the area to the side of the place. The rats in the adjacent Greenstreet became uncontrollable. Friends of Tribeca Park tried to tend this area but finally threw in the towel. Maybe with a cooperative owner it could be different.
