More Menswear on Franklin

Fashion line Jason Scott is opening a second store—the first is in the West Village—at 102 Franklin, best known as the former site of All Good Things. While the company does also make womenswear, the main focus is on menswear, and the store fits nicely amid Steven Alan, Grown & Sewn, Rag & Bone, the J. Crew Liquor Store, and James Perse. From the brand’s about page:

Since its 2013 launch, Jason Scott has maintained a vision of creating everyday clothing that combines a casual sensibility with modern, tailored design. Inspired by a desire to redefine contemporary menswear, designer Jason Mandler left his job at a top Los Angeles film and talent agency, and with no fashion experience whatsoever, began crafting wearable pieces that reflect a stylish, downtown attitude complete with expert tailoring, luxurious fabrics and attention to detail. In a quest to create a collection that evokes the spirit of heritage and excellence in quality and construction, Mandler spent the next two years studying fabrics, working with tailors, and creating perfectly fit garments with an emphasis on form, function and process. It’s this core philosophy that has enabled Jason Scott to go from one perfect hooded zip-up sweater to a full range of men’s ready to wear. Each piece, whether a simple Tee or classic varsity jacket, reflects an effortless cool sensibility for the urban lifestyle—from the streets of New York, to Mandler’s native Chicago, all the way to the West Coast. Guided by a perfectly tailored fit, Jason Scott is classic yet modern menswear that is luxuriously understated and infinitely wearable. Each piece communicates the basis of Mandler’s vision: high quality fabric, superior construction and perfect fit with a handmade feel.

They’re shooting for an early December opening. In the meantime, here are some images from the Jason Scott lookbook.
