Seen & Heard: Ochre and Canvas Home Sale

••• CrossFit 212 appears to have indeed closed its studio at 84 Franklin, reports P. “No sign on the door but it is locked and the lights are out. Rowing machines are gone and the device for pull-ups. Plywood on a window; a few kettlebells scattered around.” UPDATE: “Crossfit 212 is closed for good,” says Christopher. “Major landlord troubles. The gym has been absorbed into Crossfit Tribeca (same owners) at 281 Broadway.”

••• Thanks to G. for the alert that 8 Jay, formerly Artflag, is hosting a sample sale for Ochre and Canvas Home. UPDATE: “The hours are 11-6 on weekdays and 12-5 on weekends through 12/15,” says the commenter known as Duane Street. “Currently there are items from Ochre. Pieces from Canvas to arrive in early December.”

••• Work is (finally?) happening on Buddha Bar. Last we heard, it was shooting to open in the spring of 2018.

••• Something called “240”—or hiding behind that name—is filming in the Duane/W.Broadway area on Thursday and Friday.

••• I took a mini field trip to Astoria to visit Titan Foods, a Greek market, in search of good, unherbed halloumi. Found it and much more! (I also bought spanakopita and dolmas, but took photos of other stuff.) It’s right off the N/W Astoria Boulevard station.
