The Smyth Hotel Is Being Rebranded

The Tribeca Grand became the Roxy. The Cosmopolitan Hotel became the Frederick. The Tribeca Blu became the Soho Garden Hotel. And now the Smyth is getting a new identity, too. It’s being enveloped into the AKA brand of long-term-stay hotels. According to the website for AKA Tribeca, as it’ll be known, the hotel will be rebranded in April, making it the sixth AKA property in the city. This isn’t exactly a surprise, as Korman Communities, which includes AKA among its holdings, bought the Smyth in December. (Below: the FiDi hotel.)
