Back in February, when I saw that Tribeca Barber & Beauty School on Chambers had opened an outpost in Rego Park, Queens, I thought it might be a bad sign for the original salon. Sure enough, after 17 years at 113 Chambers,  the school is closing that location and focusing on Queens. The signature $7 haircut here is a much cheaper $4 there, if you have extra time and an unlimited Metrocard.
