In the News: Cabjacking

••• “Cab stolen with cabbie in back” is far and away the most interesting item on the Tribeca Trib police blotter.

••• Buzzfeed can’t cope with the fact that the Z100 radio station broadcasts from Tribeca and not from the top of the Empire State Building. The content is moronic, but it’s the juvenile writing that really grates.  More and more of what’s online seems to be written by hyperventilating adolescents.

••• “BPCA to Host Town Hall Meeting Tonight; South End Avenue Redesign Among Topics to Be Discussed.” —Broadsheet

••• “3 World Trade Center to open [next week] with nearly half of tower leased,” says the New York Post headline, while the article puts the leasing at 40%. The press release I received said 38%.

••• “Verve Wine, a trendy Tribeca bottle shop led by master sommelier Dustin Wilson and wine merchant Derrick Mize, has gone bi-coastal: Verve Wine’s Pac Heights location, anticipated since April, is open today at 2358 Fillmore Street.” —Eater
