New Kid on the Block: Seamore’s

The outpost of Seamore’s at Brookfield Place, where Amada used to be, has opened. (Thanks to D. for the heads up and photo; the PR folks have been saying it’d open Monday.) It’s the sixth (and largest) restaurant in the chain; as predicted, some of the space is devoted to Seamore’s to Go, for fast-casual takeout, and as noted the other day, there’s an Airstream on the patio that is being used as a bar.

According to the press release, this Seamore’s is “an elevated and updated version of its sister locations, with a refreshed design and a brand-new menu.” Among the new items: wood-fired pizzas (one with clams and leeks and another, in time, with lobster, pickled green tomato, corn, and ricotta); seafood boils for groups; and a raw bar. Moreover, in a bid to appeal to pescaphobes, the menu has strip steak and roasted chicken. Below: the dinner menu, raw bar menu, and kids’ menu.     Had dinner there this past Sunday. I realize that they just opened, but having to wait 30 minutes just to get our drinks to come to our table is inexcusable. They definitely need more staff and to get their act together.

      Agreed! We walked by around 5pm on Sunday and just wanted to grab a menu but there was no one at the front nor at the To Go window. I really hope they get their act together soon!

    Went there this past weekend around brunchtime with my wife and two boys and we really liked it. The food selection felt a bit slim (but it was their brunch menu), but everything that we ordered was good. Price isn’t too bad, considering the area, and the service was pretty good.
