In the News: Tribeca Bank Robbery

••• The TD Bank at Chambers and Greenwich was robbed on Saturday by “a white male wearing khaki shorts and white button-up shirt with a cross on it. The robber did not display a weapon, according to police.” —Tribeca Trib

I had installed an air-conditioner in my loft apartment without permission and they wanted to discuss the situation without me present.” Was that kosher? —New York Times

••• The New York Times has an article about which neighborhoods are noisiest (and Tribeca comes in third), but it’s based on 311 complaints, so it’s really about which neighborhoods complain the most about noise. After “loud music and party,” the “second biggest category, representing 15 percent of complaints, was ‘banging and pounding,’ which might be even more irritating than the sound of others enjoying themselves.” Then again, it might be the sound of others enjoying themselves….
