••• I got a peek at Galli Theater, the kids’ theater that is now at the new German School Manhattan on weekends. Founder Johannes Galli writes all of the plays (over 300 so far), and there are nine theaters in Germany and one in Beijing. The 45-minute shows, which tend to be fairy tales, run for three weeks. It’s set in a fictional company based on Broad Street in FiDi and much of the story takes place downtown. Settings include apartments in the Seaport, Battery Park City and Greenwich Village; restaurants in FiDi (Harry’s and Cipriani Wall Street) and the Village (Gotham Bar & Grill); and Washington Square Park. (No specific Tribeca mentions in this book, but the sequel is underway and it will be included.)”
