••• The city has started the design process for the quarter-mile strip of East River waterfront called the Brooklyn Bridge Esplanade, between Peck Slip and Catherine Slip. –Tribeca Trib

You can share your own brainstorms for the area here, with this survey.

••• If you’ve noticed a few less ties around these parts, so has The Wall Street Journal. In “Dressing for Deals, Wall Street Bankers Face Fashion Pitfalls,” the reporter suggests that style faux pas (plural??) could cost business. “Wall Street, the last bastion of traditional corporate dress code, has been loosening its tie—and in some cases, getting rid of it completely—as male bankers increasingly take their sartorial cues from clients.” They go on to blame proximity to Locanda Verde and its hipness quotient as part of the cause.

••• And in case you missed it last time, here is the expanded NYC Ferry map for 2020-21 (including SI to BPC), and the New York Times’ story on the mayor’s plans for this and more in the state of the city address.
