CONSTRUCTION UPDATE PART DEUX: WORTH STREET
There’s another 10 months AT LEAST to go on the Worth Street construction project, and a lot of the schedule is contingent on ConEd. But West Broadway to Church will be opened to one-way, east-bound traffic as of next week.

SUMI TONOOKA QUARTET AT TRIBECA PAC
Tribeca Performing Arts Center presents the Sumi Tonooka Quartet on Saturday, February 16, featuring pianist Sumi Tonooka (pictured), saxophonist Erica Lindsey, drummer Victor Lewis, and bassist Rufus Reid. The Concert is at 8:30pm; $30 (Seniors $20). This event is a jazz concert honoring Nobuko “Cobi” Narita, who created the Jazz Center of New York in 1983. Kudos to the owners of 121 Chambers for removing the derelict awning and cleaning up the security gates on the front of their otherwise handsome building.

A floating pool wants to anchor off the Brooklyn Bridge Promenade and provide a swimming hole for lower Manhattan. If you like the idea too, they need your help.

CHURCH STREET SCHOOL HONORS LOCAL PARENTS, LOCAL TEACHERS
The Event on March 5 honors four Tribeca parents who have given their time to the school, and two Tribeca natives who grew up here and are now teaching artists at the school.

EYESORE OF THE DAY
One pet peeve is when landlords don’t shovel their sidewalks, so for that infraction, the folks at 74 Hudson earned the eyesore — but just for the day.
