Seen & Heard: Local kids get film in festival

KIDS SEND LOVE LETTER TO BOOKS
“Booked,” a film made by local kids at Manhattan Youth’s summer program, will be shown as part of the Tribeca Film Festival this coming Sunday. The short stars Nikash Khanna and Aisling Murphey as two kids who animate their world once they connect over a book, and was made by Daniel Kang, William Chen, Chloe Chan, Tiffany Chan as well as Nikash and Aisling. “I was really proud of the end result,” said Aisling, 12 and a student at Spruce. She had been wanting to take a film class for a while — this was her first — and said she will do it again. “My mom works in film and it seems like she likes it a lot.” The short will be shown on Sunday, May 5, 9a at the Regal Cinema in BPC.

But the link here is a digital version of the activity boards  they used to gather community input. You can fill this out and email it back, or print and mail or drop off at 75 Battery Place.
