Seen & Heard: Noted Tribeca on pause

NOTED TRIBECA TAKING A BREATHER
The cafe at 112 Hudson (Franklin and N. Moore) is closed temporarily for some updates, said the owner, and should be open again in a week or so.

AMBASSADOR CLOSED PERMANENTLY
The little gift shop at 49 Warren has closed for good as of May 1. (Shows what I know.)

GET YOUR COOKIE FIX
Chloe Weldon and the girls from Girl Scout Troop 3737 will be keeping with tradition and selling girl scout cookies in front of 161 Duane on Saturday from 11 to 3p. This brings us to the ultimate question: Thin Mints or Tagalongs?

TRIBECA ART + CULTURE NIGHT SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
The next Tribeca Art+Culture Night, scheduled for June 20 from 5 to 9p, is seeking volunteers to greet guests and answer questions at its 30+ art venues around the neighborhood. Send an email to Emily Garfield at tribecaartnight@gmail.com to sign up, or learn more at www.tribecaartnight.com.

BROOKLYN BATTERY TUNNEL RESURFACING THIS WEEK
The MTA is resurfacing the roadway across the Manhattan plaza of the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel starting last night into Monday morning during each overnight except Saturday. The deets: “The roadway will be milled first in sections, from the east side progressing to the west side. This work may produce some noise, but minimal traffic impact because the routine nightly tube closure has been coordinated to accommodate the plaza work. During the day motorists may experience a slight slow-down due to the milled surface, which will only last a few days before paving and striping concludes the work, which is weather-dependent.”
