In the News: The Oculus has a leak

BUILT TO LAST?
The Journal reports that the Oculus has a leak in the rubber seal of its skylight – that is the $30 million skylight. It ripped the last time the skylight was opened, on Sept. 11, 2018. “The Oculus was built at an angle so that the open skylight would capture the sun each year on the morning of Sept. 11, during the hours when the World Trade Center towers were struck by aircraft and collapsed in 2001.”

  1. As for the billboard, couldn’t the city fine the advertisers who use the billboard? That might be an effective way to end this. Or at least raise some money for the city to fix the subway.

  2. “I’m shocked! With all the money they spent, I can’t believe the Oculus leaks!”…said no one ever.

  3. The Oculus is easily the biggest waste of space and money I have ever seen in my lifetime. What a shame we are all stuck with it now and forever.

  4. Hip and being a tenant at WestField, Brooklyn Field, whatever field you want to call it do not go together.
