De Janeiro, the discount women’s clothing store, has opened a new outlet at 261 Broadway just north of Warren. The chain was opened in 1983 (!) and has eight city locations. This does restore some balance to that stretch of Broadway, where the Bolton’s store has been closed for almost a year.
JAMES ELLROY AT MYSTERIOUS BOOKSHOP
James Ellroy, the American crime writer whose most recent book – “The Storm” — came out this week, will be at the Mysterious Bookshop tomorrow – Wednesday – at 6:30p. The store will have that book as well as other rare titles and limited editions to be signed. You can preorder the book here to avoid lines at the shop.
