Lekka Burger opening on Warren this month
Thanks to a friend whose husband is Israeli via South Africa, I just learned this morning that lekka (actually spelled lekker) means ‘cool’ in Afrikaans slang and the funding behind Lekka Burger is through a South African philanthropist who aims to promote vegan and environmental causes and the burger in question is vegan, so the dots are finally connecting for me. (I am sure others were much quicker.)
Of course more TK on Lekka Burger when the kitchen is up and running, but in the meantime, the news: opening date is now set for Monday, Nov. 18. Friends and family this weekend, and hopefully menus soon.
