ELISA MONTE DANCE AT THE FLEA
Elisa Monte Dance, the renowned modern dance company led by Artistic Director Tiffany Rea-Fisher, opens its 39th season at Tribeca’s Flea Theater from November 21-24. Rea-Fisher presents the world premiere of “Emerged Nation,” an evening-length work with a distinctive message examining a nation in transformation. Inspired by the shifts in America’s civil and social mores, the work delves into the complex emotional landscape created by immigration, cultural acclimation and diversity while also
celebrating the spirit of New York City.

TAVERN PLANNED FOR 88 WEST BROADWAY
The owners of Lelabar on Hudson in the West Village and two other spots in Park Slope have plans for a tavern in the old Jamba Juice space. Upstairs neighbors not psyched.
