STILL TILTING FOR THE RECTOR STREET BRIDGE
The Trib reports on the ongoing effort to save the Rector Street Bridge that crosses over the highway. It’s due to be demolished – replaced now by the West Thames Bridge two blocks away – within a few months. The leader of the campaign, Robert Schneck, argues that Rector is the better spot anyway.

  1. Ladder 8 is on N. Moore St.

    Isn’t Ladder 1 / Engine 7 on Duane Street?

    • I looked this up on the FDNY site and got myself confused. Yes, you are right. Engine 7/Ladder 1/Battalion 1 is on Duane. Thanks.

  2. Fun piece on natural wines… not fun that they couldn’t find a single female voice to quote.
