Seen & Heard: Talking 2020 politics in BPC

TALKING POLITICS AT BPC
Battery Park City resident Paul Rieckhoff, the host of the Angry Americans podcast and a veteran of the Iraq War, will interview NY1 journalist Errol T. Lewis at a free event on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 7p, at 6 River Terrace (across from the Irish Hunger Memorial). (That’s Pa=ul interviewing Pete Buttigieg in December.) The pair will address local issues that may end up in the national spotlight during the upcoming Democratic presidential debates and the 2020 Presidential election. The discussion will include questions from the audience. Louis is the host of Inside City Hall, a program about New York City politics that airs nightly on NY1. RSVP here.

POETRY READING AT PEN PARENTIS
Four poets will read from their new collections at the next Pen Parentis night on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 7 to 9p at LMHQ event space on the 20th floor of 150 Broadway. Hear from Timothy Donnelly, Diane Mehta, Sara Kain Gutowski and Len Lawson. $10 suggested donation.

PREVIEW OF THE COMPLETED ANISH KAPOOR
I don’t think I have ever seen the full rendering? When finished, the sculpture will weigh 40 tons. What a job.

T-R-I-B-E-C-A IN BALLOONS
G. sent this pic a month ago of these Tribeca balloons at Puffy’s — I know they were there just before Christmas, but still including here since it’s such a cool sight. Should be a permanent installation!

OUT TO LUNCH
The folks working on the bulkhead in Hudson River Park posted their holiday schedule.
