Seen & Heard: Rainbow over One World Trade

What a shot! Caught by G. from 70 Little West Street.

SWEET BABY YVES
I couldn’t resist running this shot (I begged for it) sent from Maman owners Elisa Marshall and Ben Sormonte, as part of the shopkeeper baby boom series. Meet Yves — and of course Teddy.

THE MUSIC OF CARLY SIMON

There will be performances from Cyndi Lauper, Livingston Taylor, Indigo Girls, Michael McDonald, Rachael Price of Lake Street Dive, Ben Taylor and Sally Taylor, John Forte, Resistance Revival Chorus, Darlene Love, Ken Burns, and Linda Perry. Tickets are now on sale at Carnegie Hall’s website, and VIP packages can be purchased at www.musicof.org.

TRIBECA REPRESENTS AT HUDSON RIVER PARK
Tribeca turned out in solid numbers to support the Playground Committee of the Hudson River Park Friends — the fundraising arm of the park that helped bring back the playground at Pier 25 in record time after Hurricane Sandy. New Friends of Washington Market Park chair Brooke Travis was there with local Tracie Simon and park VP Noreen Doyle; WMP board members Nichole Verbit and Jill Simpson, with Stephie Sobotka, are now also running Playground Committee efforts; local residents Victoria Shannon and Tierney Model sandwiched Toby Pearce of the Friends; also representing the neighborhood: Kelsey Crowley, Dendy Engelman, Tracy Goodwin, Julie King, Emily Heitner, Jill Bouquard and Alexa Scanlon. Tribecan Madelyn Wils is the president of the park, and Tribecan Mike Novogratz is the co-chair of the Friends (seen below with Assemblyman Dick Gottfried, who wrote the original legislation for the park, and Friends president Connie Fishman).
