Seen & Heard: Happy Valentine’s Day

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY, TRIBECA
I don’t think you can beat this lighting display from L’Angolo (stroll by tonight after dark), though maybe the sparkly heart-shaped cookies at Duane Park Patisserie come close.

SMELLS LIKE TRIBECA
City parfumerie Bond No. 9 has introduced TriBeCa, or as they described it, downtown in olfactive form. “TriBeCa is a super sexy, unisex, floriental and it’s sophisticated and young, global and local, much like the residents of TriBeCa.” It has notes of Cacao, green hazelnut, jasmine sambac absolute, cedarwood, ambroxan, moss and caramel. There’s already FiDi ($380) and Wall Street ($250-$370) and Governor’s Island ($350). The scent will arrive on counters during the Tribeca Film Festival starting April 15.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION COUNCIL TOWN HALL
The District 2 CEC will host a town hall meeting with Chancellor Richard A. Carranza on Tuesday, March 10, 6:30p, at MS 131, 100 Hester Street. You can submit a question by emailing CEC2@schools.nyc.gov and putting ‘Question for the Chancellor’ in the subject line. Comment cards will also be distributed at the town hall.
